Summary

Arco stallina ("arcanon crystal people"), A. stallina, or Stallites are an intelligent species of floating multi-crystal bodies who live off magic.

Anatomy

Arcanon Emitting Core

The Arcanon Emitting Core (AEC) is the "heart" of a Stallite. Composed of multiple high-tier crystals, the core takes on the shape of a tall, narrow octahedron, which rotates clockwise at a speed variable to the amount of magic being used. Just idling, the core spins at around 1.8 RPM.

Channel Crystal

The Channel Crystal (CC) is a specially-designed magic crystal with low saturation, higher tier crystals. Most spells are emitted from these crystals. A typical Stallite has 2, 1 on each side, that appear as the "arms". A Stallite can theoretically hold infinite CCs, but the more that they hold onto, the more magic they use at the same time, and the more stress on their core.

Armor Crystal

Armor Crystals (ACs) are similar to CCs, but they have the opposite attributes with high-saturation, lower tier crystals. They are intentionally designed to absorb magic spells and rechannel them into the AEC over time. Just like CCs, a Stallite can have as many ACs as they prefer for a price. Additionally, the distance between an AC and the AEC affects how slowly magic channels back into the AEC.
